 How to choose satisfactory anchor bolts?

 

Following the steps as below, you will get satisfactory anchor bolts. It will take you only a few minutes.

 

1. Material

Mild Steel (Carbon Steel) / Stainless Steel 304 (18-8 Stainless Steel)

 

2. Anchor Bolt type

J - Hook: Intended for structural anchoring. Bolts have a curved hook

L - Hook: Intended for structural anchoring. Bolts have a curved hook.

Modified L - Hook: Similar to the L - hook anchor bolt, except these have an interior angle of 63°.

 

3. Thread Size

Selecting the Right Thread Size

 

Inch fasteners are specified with a size and the number of threads. For example, 1/2” - 13 indicates a 1/2”diameter screw with 13 threads per inch.

 

Metric fasteners are specified with a thread pitch instead of a thread count. The thread pitch is the distance between threads.
